Will AWS have an entire region go offline for over 1 hour in 2026?

AWS regional outages are rare but make headlines when they happen. Will any single AWS region (us-east-1, us-west-2, eu-west-1, etc.) be marked "service disruption" lasting over 1 hour in 2026?

Resolution criteria

YES if the AWS Service Health Dashboard records an event lasting 1+ hour where a full region is degraded across multiple core services (EC2, S3, Lambda).
